The world's least expensive cell phone, costing all of Rs 251 ($5), was dispatched in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The Ringing Bells Freedom 251, a 3G cell phone with determinations like section level cell phones estimated around Rs 4,000, was dispatched by senior BJP pioneer Murli Manohar Joshi. Guard Minister Manohar Parikkar, who the organization had said would dispatch the telephone, couldn't make it because of a "bureau meeting," as indicated by the occasion's coordinators.
While bookings for the telephone will begin tomorrow and go ahead till February 22, the Noida-based organization expects says it will complete all conveyances by 30th June.
Ringing Bells is offering Freedom 251 by means of a unique site called www.freedom251.com and says all conveyances will take 4 months to finish. Ringing Bells is charging Rs 40 additional for conveyances, so the aggregate expense of the cell phone is Rs 291.
The cell phone with a 4-inch WVGA determination show, highlights a 1.3 Ghz quad-center processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB aggregate storage room and a 3.2 megapixel camera on the back. It will have 0.3 megapixel camera on the front and has a 1450 mAh battery.
